The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.’ But wisdom is proved right by her deeds.”

I have always loved the passages in the bible where Jesus spoke of himself as the Son of Man.  Jesus shows humanity as it should be in this world. It is amazing to think of one who is perfect claiming humanity, yet he did.

The BibleGateway website states about the Son of Man:

“Jesus Christ’s preferred title for himself. The term points to the humanity and servanthood of Christ, but also reflects Daniel’s vision of the son of man as a coming figure of judgment and authority.”

Peter Declares That Jesus Is the Messiah

15 “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?”

Who do you believe the son of man is
Not Elijah, nor Jeremiah of a prophet
You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.
This truth was revealed by the father in heaven

Matthew 13:37-43 New International Version (NIV)

39 and the enemy who sows them is the devil.
The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels.
40 “As the weeds are pulled up and burned in the fire,
so it will be at the end of the age.

The Son of Man will send out his angels,

Lord, what are human beings that you care for them,
mere mortals that you think of them?
